MAIA
Our MAIA collection of wearable objects inspires in the knot as a technical and compositional principle. In the Sanskrit tradition, MAIA symbolizes one of the four knots that bind the soul to the material universe. In the assembling of each piece, we seek to reinterpret those qualities, both constructive and poetic.
Collected in three different families –knotted, openwork and spherical–, in each one a different aesthetic proposal is concretized. Each single piece evokes in turn the geography of a cape, a coast or a starscape. Hence the names they bear.
Objects of art to wear, made in limited editions, and conceived to highlight natural beauty with the subtle sheen of their silken threads.

Made of chained silk-blend satin cords, tied to a high density black cotton cord. Silver-plated magnetized brooch.
Available in pearl-white, aged gold, or silver-gray. Adjustable neck mechanism.

Made of satin silk-blend cords in openwork weaved fabric with textile or patinated wooden closure.
Available in three different sizes and a variety of color combinations.

Made of spherical beads in wood covered with woven mesh in silk-blend threads, intertwined with fine silk-blend cords. Gold or silver plated magnetic brooch. Available in silver-black, old vintage-gold and chocolate-brown spherical beads with interlaced mesh in two or three colors combinations each.

PRESENTATION

The packaging of the MAIA necklaces includes a lined sleeve designed to store and protect them, made from unique recycled fabrics that seek to highlight the qualities of each piece. All products are presented in high-quality cardboard boxes, accompanied by a postcard with the description of the collection and a certificate of authenticity of the brand signed by CAROLA NOGUEIRA.
